IEBA DIRECTOR OF MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

The Director of Marketing & Communications leads the strategic and day-to-day marketing efforts for the International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA) and the IEBA Educational Outreach Fund. This role is responsible for advancing IEBA’s brand visibility, member engagement, industry partnerships, sponsorship fulfillment, and public relations initiatives across digital, print, and live event platforms.

This position serves as a primary representative of the organization and key liaison with industry partners, universities, nonprofit organizations, media outlets, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a creative and highly organized marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for live entertainment, events, and nonprofit mission-driven work.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Lead day-to-day marketing and communications strategy for IEBA and the IEBA Educational Outreach Fund

·       Develop and manage integrated marketing campaigns supporting membership growth, events, sponsorships, and organizational initiatives

·       Maintain consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all platforms

·       Serve as primary marketing contact for partner organizations, industry associations, universities, and nonprofit collaborators

·       Identify opportunities to expand awareness and engagement across the live entertainment industry

 

Digital Marketing & Content Management

·       Develop and manage annual and ongoing content calendars

·       Oversee website content updates, optimization, and overall digital presence

·       Manage IEBA email newsletters and digital communications

·       Oversee organic and paid social media strategy and execution across platforms

·       Coordinate creation of marketing assets with designers, photographers, and video production teams

·       Monitor analytics and performance metrics to inform marketing strategy

 

Public Relations & Media Relations

·       Lead public relations strategy and industry communications

·       Draft and distribute press releases and organizational announcements

·       Manage relationships with media outlets and industry publications

·       Coordinate promotional campaigns supporting IEBA initiatives and announcements

·       Support leadership with messaging and external communications

·       Manage photographers and videographers on site at the annual conference

 

Conference & Event Marketing

·       Lead promotional strategy for the IEBA Annual Conference and membership events

·       Develop marketing campaigns driving conference registration and participation

·       Support sponsorship fulfillment through coordinated marketing deliverables

·       Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to promote mixers, panels, and industry programming

·       Assist with on-site marketing execution during conferences and major events

 

Sponsorship & Stakeholder Engagement

·       Manage marketing-related sponsorship fulfillment and visibility commitments

·       Coordinate branded deliverables across digital, print, and event environments

·       Maintain strong working relationships with sponsors, partners, and stakeholders

·       Support initiatives that increase visibility and fundraising for the IEBA Educational Outreach Fund

 

CRM, Lists & Communications Management

·       Manage marketing distribution lists and audience segmentation

·       Utilize CRM systems to support campaigns, reporting, and engagement tracking

·       Coordinate surveys, communications reporting, and audience insights

·       Maintain accurate communication databases and outreach lists

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·       College degree

·       Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations

·       Demonstrated experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns

·       Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills

·       Experience managing organic and paid social media campaigns

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Mailchimp, and SurveyMonkey

·       Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail

·       Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

 

Preferred

·       Experience working within nonprofit organizations, trade associations, or the live entertainment industry

·       Experience in concert promotion at a venue, festivals, or large-scale events

·       Familiarity with sponsorship activation and fulfillment

·       Website content management experience (CMS platforms)

·       Understanding of media relations within music, entertainment, or events industries
