Meet IEBA

International Entertainment Buyers Association (IEBA) is a non-profit trade organization for live entertainment industry professionals. Founded in 1970, IEBA provides networking, showcasing and educational opportunities to strengthen relationships, foster growth and increase revenue for the live entertainment industry. IEBA showcases the best and brightest talent in all genres of music and all fields of entertainment. Representing over $1 billion in buying power, IEBA is an intimate organization that makes a huge impact.

“IEBA is the place to be if you’re serious about building relationships in the industry and discovering the hottest talent.”
– Barry Jeffrey, WME

IEBA and the annual conference stand alone in the entertainment industry by showcasing the most current and diverse entertainment options for buyers, and providing unparalleled networking opportunities and continuing education to its members. Dedicated to propelling the industry forward, IEBA prepares the next generation of industry leaders through mentoring, scholarships and job placement.

Originally called the International Country Music Buyers Association—ICMBA was conceived by two talent buyers, Hubert Long and Harry "Hap" Peebles. Peebles and Long felt that the country music talent buyers needed a voice in the fair and festival industry. Eventually the board of ICMBA decided that there was a need to be inclusive off all types of entertainment, and so the organization was renamed the International Entertainment Buyers Association — from two founding members in 1970 to nearly 1000 active members from all areas of live entertainment today.
