Casey Sparks, director of Sales and Marketing at the SMG-Managed BOK Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma, was also nominated for creating a buzz about the BOK Center months before it opened culminating in a “Grand Opening Week”, and the Opening Night Concert featuring the Eagles. The 2008 IEBA Conference went out with a bang on the final night of the 3-day affair. The annual awards show featured performances by Mandy Barnett, Crystal Gayle, Diamond Rio, Joe Nichols and Lifetime Achievement Award-winners Loggins and Messina and was hosted by hilarious and talented SNL alum, Joe Piscopo.

Monday morning started with beautiful weather and breakfast on the Networking Terrace. This morning's performances included a moving performance by Lee Greenwood showcases courtesy of Utopia Artists and Coondog Productions. Our first panel was a stirring discussion of the state of the U.S. Economy.

IEBA teamed with Steve Moore, senior vice-president of AEG Live and chairman/founder of The Shalom Foundation for the first annual Hope For Kids Ride benefitting The Shalom Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing financial support and physical assistance to under privileged children and their families. The ride began at the Hilton and ended at historic Oaklawn Mansion in Spring Hill.
